Re: SCCT II Opening Book Tournament / Balanced-16.ctg

Thanks. It is nice for me to see that Rybka with my Balanced-12 book or with it's predecessor Xmas2640-12 scores very similar as with some professional books. Even more, since they are max. 24 plies deep and intended for 'same book for all' tests, not as performance books.

Therefore, I have created a bigger version of the Balanced-12 from the same database, the Balanced-16.ctg with max. 32 plies book depth:

(~3.8 MB, requires http://7-zip.org/ to decompress)

I think this version is more suitable for 'big book' competition, although it is not a performance book either. Recommended book options remain the same, 'normal' and 'minimum games = 3'.

Hello Mike,

Yes,your books even up to 12 moves are performed successfully.
I hope your latest Balanced-16.ctg will hold a higher ranking.

Best,
Sedat
