Nice to see some positive news on Samsung. Personally though I don't run chess on my phone, but others do.

-2nm process
-delivering up to 59% better power efficiency and 30% improved performance-per-watt
= 60% efficiency = +30% performance-per-watt

-Samsung's next-gen Exynos 2600 processor for its new Galaxy S26 smartphones next year
= next year = same year = Apple iPhone A20 Pro x% more efficient than Samsung's next-gen Exynos 2600 processor for its new Galaxy S26 smartphones.

Personally I run chess on my phone and we have much more people which run chess on their phones than on a pc or notebook.
Every phone is using an arm cpu but sadly Stockfish is still very very slow on a lot of different arm cpus.

We have the same problem on great devices like:
Raspberry Pi 5
Raspberry Pi 4
Raspberry Pi 3
Raspberry Pi 2
Raspberry Pi 1
Raspberry Pi Pico 2
Raspberry Pi Pico 1
Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W
Raspberry Pi Zero W
Raspberry Pi Zero
...
Rock Pi
...
Orange Pi
...
Other
...

Maybe some Engine developers have time to do some speed improvements.
It would even be helpful if someone tried to improve the speed on an inexpensive Raspberry Pi instead of buying the Pi 5.

Interesting combination of devices:

Apple products are for people who don't care about tech - they just want using it to be easy, to look good, and they don't mind overpaying.

Raspberry computers are for people who want to learn and welcome the difficulties, don't mind that it looks like a circuit board, but don't want to pay more than they need to.

One doesn't usually see these two distinct sets of characteristics in the same person! :?
Human chess is partly about tactics and strategy, but mostly about memory
