Which engines are released with an own created Polyglot book?

Post by Rebel »

As the subject states : Which engines are released with an own created Polyglot book?

By head I only aware of :
. My own engine.
. Komodo
. Arasan
. Fruit

I am sure there must be more.

Hi Ed,

Both Maverick and Juggernaut share a polyglot book that's original. Here's the video I created back in 2013 going through the steps needed to create such a book:

With Juggernaut you can select the opening book as a UCI parameter. You also have the option to have the opening book in memory if you're playing an ultra-fast game.

I found The Baron thanks to its CPW article:

New WCCC Version of The Baron Released (Plus Polyglot Opening Book)
Steve Maughan wrote: Mon Jul 23, 2018 1:58 am Richard Pijl has been kind enough to released The Baron 3.43. This is almost identical to the version that played in the 2018 WCCC. Here are Richard’s release notes:

You can download it using the ling below, along with The Baron’s opening book (in Polyglot format):

I am sure that there are (many) more engines with own Polyglot books, but God knows what they are after many years and maybe decades... It sounds familiar to me that few of my posts regarding The WayBack Machine (archive.org) of old engines had their own openings books, but I do not know if they were Polyglot or not, plus I do not know if they are still available.

Good luck with your research!

Regards from Spain.
