I can understand the chemistry prize. But neural nets do not seem to have anything to do with physics at all. That is mathematics. (For which there is no Nobel prize.)

I did not realize that AlphaGo also played, beside Lee Sedol (world champion, South Korea), Ke Jie (#1 ranked, China) and the Chinese government banned the live stream after the first game:
