Re: On-line engine blitz tourney November
Belfish won the tournament. rofChade (on 64 cores) and rpiRofchade (on a Raspberry PI) both got 6 points (amazing).
There were 5 programs with 5.5 points including atomNightmare and atomGoldbar, both were running on a very tiny Intel N100 with only 6W TDP.
I trew out the old atom SOC because it gave a lot of problems when running NNUE engines.

Looks like I can sell my Threadripper 3990X or just trade it for an additional Raspberry PiJoost Buijs wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:26 pm Belfish won the tournament. rofChade (on 64 cores) and rpiRofchade (on a Raspberry PI) both got 6 points (amazing).

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney November
I'm still using the Threadripper 3970X, next year I want to sell it and build a new system with a Threadripper 7970X. The 7980X (64 core) is a little bit too expensive to my taste. The advantage of the Threadripper 7000 series is that it has BF16, (fast) PEXT and AVX-512.Ronald wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 4:14 pmLooks like I can sell my Threadripper 3990X or just trade it for an additional Raspberry PiJoost Buijs wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:26 pm Belfish won the tournament. rofChade (on 64 cores) and rpiRofchade (on a Raspberry PI) both got 6 points (amazing).

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney November
Paying 40 cents per kilo watt hour now.
This laptop takes say 60 watt.
60 x 16.7 = 1000
Taking 16.7 hour for 1 kwh costing 40 cents.
So two hours costs 5 cents?
But I have to pay rent, heating, food, clothes as well.
Can't focus all day. So time to concentrate and focus is scarce too.

Since I have > 6kW solar panels and we still have 'saldering' in the Netherlands, my electricity bill is virtually zero, even in the winter time, it even makes up for some of the costs for gas.
Fortunately I don't have to pay rent either.
