At the moment 5 entries have been received:
  • Hiarcs - Marc Uniacke
  • Single Malt - Hans Secelle/Bart Weststrate
  • Stoofvlees - Giancarlo Pascutto
  • The Baron - Richard Pijl
  • The King - Johan de Koning
The tournament will take place in Zundert, in the south of the Netherlands, close to the city of Breda.
Zundert is known as the birthplace of Vincent van Gogh and some of the things to see are his birthplace as well as the church where his father was minister. The playing location is in the center of the village.

Registration can be done by sending a pm to me here, or by mail to csvn@telenet.be

Wow. I live quite close to Breda. If I would have had a 3200+ engine, I'd probably have submitted it. Right now my current testing version is at least a 1000 Elo below the ones listed

And... The King? Is that engine still in development, except for running on the Millennium hardware? Didn't know that.

Well, Spartacus is only 2300 or so (and single thread), and last time Single Malt was similar.

I can highly recommend the event. Participating is far more worthwile than winning.

Yes, via the (free) teamplayer software.

Hans van der Zijden once did for me.

Works great.

Note that this is not really appreciated by the organizers, though. This is mainly a social event organized for programmers to meet each other and exchange ideas. Having remote programs operated by people that don't know zilch about them is not really helpful for fulfilling this purpose.

So it is only done when circumstances demand it. E.g. if there otherwise would be an odd number of paricipants, or so few participants that the entire tourney is in jeopardy of being cancelled.
