I assume you did not get Amy to run with 8 cores? Last I tried it I concluded multithreading did not work at all with Amy.

it would play one move out of book and then keep crashing.
Still no luck with Spike, but I might see if I have better luck running it as a Winboard engine instead of uci.
Couldn't get Toga working with 8 cores either.

Book a bit too long (24 plies). 8-12 plies would be better.
