actually i gave that same advice to Houdart a month or so ago when his first product went commercial
Following the Rajlich playbook...
you go commercial when the engine is rated #1
at the same time you start your own forum
moderators are appointed who will ban/delete posts threads that are not in the commercial interests of the engine
many will join the forum because it is #1
once the members are settled in..they will develop a sense of community and they themselves will deal with any criticism of the engine in any of the other forums
Houdini will then be on autopilot and its author will not have to deal with these types of issues any longer
finally..the author can leave the country and relocate anywhere in the world he so chooses..leaving his forum and his cares behind him
the world will be his Oyster regards
