Hi Ed,
I have no interest on:
To disown someone, not you, not Chris or everyone else here.
I am very clear in ...
What is in my best interest!
I am not the policemen here, but in case of Rebel and all these different versions, names of engines ...
Two with sources, your own information that Rebel based on Toga II v4.
After your words newer versions of Rebel (engines with the same name) ... like Rebel EAS or Rebel Extreme ... not based on the code of Toga II v4. I don't doubt that. The question is, which of all these 18 Rebel versions based on Toga II v4.
I wrote:
"Same for CSTal!
If the _newer_ CSTal, created in Corona times ... based on Toga / Fruit.
Sources from CSTal are available, not for the newer CSTal EAS!"
So what?
I wrote "If" not "that" ...
Mabye we come back to a discussion.
I can't wrote in my engine overview.
Based on ... and on the end of the table ... stand ...
"free" and not OSS, if all have the same name, in front of ... Rebel!
If you gave yourself the information that Rebel based on TogaII 4.0.
Best
Frank

And congratulations ...
You are the first person in my life ... say to my I lie or I slender!
That's premiere after 58 years!
I am thinking about it in the last hours and all this what I do for computer chess in my free time, many years.
Of course I made mistakes in these times, but never with intention. Often I have wrote ... sorry if i misunderstand these and that. I have no problems to give my sorry.
If you will read, that I have to give my sorry!
Here is my sorry!
You are one of the pioniers in computer chess and do also a lot.
No doubt about it.
Perhaps we comeback to a discussion.
Which of the soruces from all these 18 Rebel versions based now on Toga IV?

Frank,
Ed has been in computer Chess, much longer than Fabian, so for you to accuse him of stealing is ridiculous.

Hi Damir,
I made my points Damir, and I think very clear.
The information that the code from TogaII v4 is used comes from Ed himself.
Not from me!
It's easy for him to give a clear answer to the question which of the Rebels are based on TogaII v4 and which of the Rebels are based on Chess System Tal.
You know, with the idea ...
I can add the information in my engine-overview.
Rebel since version x based on the code by Chris Whittington.
Rebel versions x - y based on the code by Thomas Gaksch / Fabien LETOUSEY.
After all I understand ...
That isn't clear for me ... maybe for you ... if so, congratulations!

And because something is "not clear" for you, what is clear for others, you accuse programmers of stealing code ?
Why don't you investigate for deeper analysis until it is clear for you what is clear for others and stop calling others thief.

90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.

Hello Ed,
the differrent in this thread is ...
I gave the answers and justify each what I wrote here!
You created by every answer new threats.
Submit your ban-application if that is important for you.
The Admin of TalkChess can ban me, for the sake of piece.
For me is important, which of your 18 Rebels based now on Toga II, v4.
Important, because I am working on an engine overview, I will not have any mistakes in this file.
TalkChess is for me not essential.
It's a shame that things turned out this way.
Best
