Taking the opportunity, I want to thank you about SAGE. Its miniboards functionality allowed me to toy earlier this year and surprisingly discovered that 4×6 checkers is a forced win (link).

Sorry, didn't see the duplicate. I like the fact that the vcfed people are running it on a real PDP8!

Thanks for the link, SAGE is not the strongest checkers program, but the variable board size is a nice feature. I was experimenting with 8x7 and 8x9 boards, which are interesting for having the double corners on the same side of the board. This radically changes the endgame.
