Post by Jouni »

From SF discord. 120' + 12", book: sufi 28.

Code: Select all

1 server_stockfish_384 +29/=42/-29 50.00% 50.0/100 2500.00
2 server_stockfish_768 +29/=42/-29 50.00% 50.0/100 2500.00

This hardware has ipman bench. 741.255.210 vs 496.731.673 nps :!: .

MacBook M6 ULTRA

And?
768 vs 384 @ 120' ??? + additional 12" ??? + opening phase cancelled due to book ??? + probably 7-piece syzygy tb usage ??? + only 100 games ???
And people wonder about +29 =42 -29...

I still prefer the 768 threads for many many reasons.

My main problem:
New CPUs will have 256 cores 512 threads x 2 = 512 cores and 1024 threads and 3000 watt = liquid cooled.
I don't like the combination of liquid cooled + very high price per cpu probably 20000 € to later 15000 € x 2 = 40000 € to later 30000 €
