Mr. Larry Kaufman. Mr. Naphthalin.
Attention. Mr. Uri Blass.
Respected Sirs.
This communication will be brief and direct. I specifically request your kind and best efforts for me and Catecan, based on the following facts:
FIRST. On August 26th of this year, 2025, I was stripped of my rating and the position I held on the leaderboards of the robots LeelaQueenOdds, LeelarRookOdds, LeelaKnightOdds, and LeelaQueenForKnightOdds, in their respective order, twenty-fourth position; leader or first position; sixth position; and leader or first position in the top 100 human rankings.
The mistake those responsible for the leaderboard made was applying the new rules to my past games and diluting my rating.
I've found myself feeling annoyed, and therefore, out of self-respect, I have refused to continue playing, except for just a moment ago.
SECOND. Under the previous leaderboard rules, the value of a tie was only 0.25% instead of 0.5%, that is, 4 ties for one win. The new leaderboard rules minimize and undervalue my ability to neutralize the machines, to the point where it's considered that a tie has no value. Through ties, we also demonstrate the strength of our play, and parity against a great machine entails parity in the strength of human play, which is no small feat.
THIRD. Even so, with my play, I had the strength to occupy leading positions in the standings.
FOURTH. So, I am writing to you in my capacity as a human who occupies the 6th, 24th, 1st, and 1st places in the standings.
FIFTH. "To err is human, and to forgive is Divine." I, in my capacity as a mere human, asking for help from my programmer, "forgive whoever was responsible" for my "dilution in the standings." And in my capacity as a mere mortal, I ask Divinity, and I ask you in your capacity as human beings, to repair my damage by restoring my rating in each table.
In return, the following will be achieved:
1. Through gallantry and chivalry, justice will be restored and the damage done to me repaired, and the standings, which in their current state are "spurious," will be legitimized.
2. In order to collaborate with the best minds and programmers, and the robot team, I will be able to help you by adding a new attitude to my games, namely: "From now on, in addition to "to a draw," I will also play "to win." These last games, initially under a time control of 1 minute plus 3 seconds. This does not mean that I will stop playing bullet without increments, since from there I build my general game strategies to apply in future matches.
Again, to those responsible for the dilution of my rating and rankings, I, taking a drop of love from Divinity, "forgive you." It is up to you whether I continue "having fun and testing your prodigious machines," or whether you leave me on the sidelines.
To Mr. Naphthalin, as a courtesy, I give this game that I just finished playing against one of his robots.
Sincerely,
Pablo Ignacio Restrepo

Re: Mr. Larry Kaufman. Mr. Naphthalin. Attention. Mr. Uri Blass. Respected Sirs.
The Leaderboard is maintained by Noah Leumon, he is the one who makes final decisions about it. The rest of us just make suggestions. But whatever he decides about the past, if you are now able to score above 50% at any handicap at 1'+3" you will earn a very high place %in the leaderboard, even at queen odds, regardless of how draws are rated, and no one will say it's due to the engine being happy to draw. The point is that if you exceed 50% score, draws will only hurt your rating however they are handled, so you will do very well. No one reaches 50% at 1'3" or the equivalent 3'1" at rook odds or less, and even at queen for knight only a GM level player is likely to be able to do so. At queen odds IM level players may do so, but few actually play enough such games to get a top position. I congratulate you on getting two wins so quickly at 1'3" vs LQO, probably no one else without a FIDE title has done so vs. the current bot.Father wrote: ↑Fri Aug 29, 2025 3:41 amNow: To Mr. Uri Blass and Mr. Larry Kaufnman, as a courtesy, I give this game that I just finished playing against one the robots.Father wrote: ↑Fri Aug 29, 2025 12:57 am Mr. Larry Kaufman. Attention. Mr.
