I am enjoying watching very much (first time), especially moments like Komodo's queen sacrifice in game 89; fab stuff.
I would use the one being advertised on Twitch.

Looks like Houdini is good only at these TCs. Rapid and Blitz, its Time Management is HORRIFIC, no matter what value I feed in for Overhead.

If you like to analyze chess positions, and you give more than a few seconds of time, then Houdini is a must have.

For tactical positions, it simply is the best.

There are some experiments in the Rybka forum showing Houdini's prowess.

I only wish there were a Linux version.

If you like to analyze chess positions
Into online gaming, not Analysis.
Maybe good for Analysis, if you say so, but I've stopped using it in Gaming because Houdini always seems to be struggling against the Clock more than the opponent.

You may be right. I know it is used by correspondence players, but it may not be very good at blitz.

It also might be your setup. It has the best rating at 40/4 of any program on CCRL:

Perhaps you play even faster than 40 moves in 4 minutes? Or it could also be a configuration issue

I have not tried Houdini 6, but Houdini 5 works well for me in Ubuntu (Mint) via Wine.
