Karpov or Petrosian. Nothing explosive nor something special happened but
black wins because white is in a very difficult bind and cannot break out.
Very funny because white is a pawn up but have no piece mobility.

Nirvana - Komodo started with an exchange sac for great compensation, then a hundred moves of torture, before ending with a beautiful, puzzle-like sacrifice for a mating attack. Despite the length, spectators are calling it the game of the season so far. The side variations have been most entertaining to analyze!

At this point Stockfish - Komodo final seems to be probable even if "official" poll has 50% for Gull
. I hope, that outdated engines Rybka and Gull don't go to 2. stage!

I've noticed some nice improvements in the play of Chiron, Fire, and Wasp.Jouni wrote:At this point Stockfish - Komodo final seems to be probable even if "official" poll has 50% for Gull. I hope, that outdated engines Rybka and Gull don't go to 2. stage!

In fact, Rybka is giving a horrible performance, with only 4/11 so far. Gull is at least playing up to its rating.Jouni wrote:At this point Stockfish - Komodo final seems to be probable even if "official" poll has 50% for Gull. I hope, that outdated engines Rybka and Gull don't go to 2. stage!
Anyone know why the new Shredder 13 is not in this tournament?

I think authors of commercial engines are asked if they want their engine to participate, and if they say no then they don't.IanO wrote: Anyone know why the new Shredder 13 is not in this tournament?

Interesting game Komodo vs Stockfish. Komodo was up for a lot of the game, not enough to win.

Caro Kann Advance is generally speaking, pretty bad for Black, from what I've seen.Interesting game Komodo vs Stockfish. Komodo was up for a lot of the game, not enough to win.
So more credit should be given to Stockfish rather than Komodo, for holding on for the Draw.
