Game 1 - Komodo aggression fails to break down Houdini
GAME 1
As Black, Komodo plays the more positionally aggressive game, but Houdini remains solid. A tactical flurry then leads to a material imbalance, but there is nothing in it for either side and a draw eventuates.

Houdini draws first blood in game 3. The return match looks like it's heading towards mass exchanges and a draw.

Game 2 - Houdini cedes pawn in return for bind. Drawn.
GAME 2
In the return game, Houdini opts to give up a pawn in return for a lasting bind on the position. Komodo eventually returns the pawn, but there is never anything more than a draw.

Game 3 - Houdini takes 1-0 lead in interesting Caro-Kann.
GAME 3
Houdini plays rather adventurously from the white side of a Caro-Kann, and a complex position arises. Then Komodo gets a bit too cute with its dancing knights on the kingside and Houdini is able to manufacture an advantage on the queenside. The win of a pawn, albeit a doubled one, is enough for Houdini to go on and win the endgame. First blood to Houdini at +1 =2 -0.

Game 4 - a more sedate affair that ends in a draw.
GAME 4
In contrast to the previous game, this one starts off more sedately. Komodo looks towards expansion on the queenside, in response to which Houdini initiates play on the kingside. After a few pawn exchanges, the action switches to the centre, where Komodo's rooks put a clamp on the position. Any advantage is purely illusory though and once the rooks come off, a draw quickly results. Houdini leads by +1 =3 -0.
