VERY IMPORTANT:
Please can someone ask Martin Thoresen to include the maccmad gambit (both declined and accepted) in his next TCEC tournament.

The reason for doing the accepted version is because it really DOES look ridiculous, but maybe black can find a way out of it.

The reason for the declined (although no one would ever decline it), is to see if indeed white is better and can capitalize.

I have been playing it in speed games with a lot of success! It does have some merit in that it is absurd and throws people off immediately

Just well call this game a draw Martin. At this point the game could be a draw. All black has to do is not trade any pieces and it is a draw. If you decide to play it out, game could go to 200 moves. :)

I vote for a new game with no preset opening. :)

Best,
Gerold.

Even though i predicted it is a draw, I didn't mean it had to be a draw by repetition, and at this stage.

You can try to open up some excursions, you just have to check out that it shouldn't be a can of worms.
You might find a winning excursion or a losing one, but i doubt there is a forced winning one.
