Funny, the 7er tbs- positions after 51...Re2!, aren't they?
If you look at live streaming video, go back to 11:12:50 and you will se how GM Abhijit Kunte says the position with 2 rook pawns is a draw. Black dont need eny more the c5 pawn. He said he has defended similar position on the board.
SO , if it is true at 46...Rg1 black is lost and at 51...Re2 draws, in between rhose moves Carlsen blundered.

Yep,chess is a heavy duty issue
I didn't go that deep to find the drawing move and even if I did I would have missed it as well

Carlsen also blundered but Anand made more blunders and lost the game....

Carlsen's win of today is very important due to the short length of the match (only 12 games). If I suppose 30% of chances for Carlsen after a drawn match (I think that 30% is a low value): 82.7374% + 0.3*12.4488% = 86.47204% ~ 86.47%. There is a big jump of over 15% in my clumsy forecast just after this game.

Today Anand played really well the middlegame until ..., Rc1+; just as a side note, I started to see the game around 30th move and my last seen move was Bh7 by Carlsen, just the previous move to ..., Rc1+. Curious thing.
I am satisfied with the fighting spirit of last games.

Hi Jesus, I also get 86%/14% in my sims, and the funny thing is that betters too give 86%/14% odds.
As to the game, I was so sure of a draw that I too left viewing before Rc1+, only to discover 2 hours later that Anand lost. Carlsen seems to be a wizard of endgames, he can get the blood in apparently (by engines) even endgames.

You're right, Ignacio, IF it WAS true, but I'm rather sure, it WAS and it IS NOT.
Here is H3's output after 45th white move, 45...Rc1 has the same eval as 51.Re2 has after the 50 moves played in original game, this is from 12cores with 8G hash and Nalimov's 6er tbs after slow backward solving from the remis- 7some position:

Carlsen didn't bluder since even 46..Rg1 is a draw. Load 6-men into SF and let it run till depth 44-45 and you'll see.
51...Ke6 was the big crucial blunder. In 51... only Re2 draws all other move are losing.

He found a winning continuation in a position all observers thought was a draw! What an amazing endgames player! I thought it was a draw as well, and I trusted the comments it was a draw, so I feel very impressed right now!
