That is correct.velmarin wrote:In the account you can change the engine when you want, if you use book, ect.
But do not think I can play with the engine out of the "Engine Room", is strictly prohibited.
I think so.

Thanks.Albert Silver wrote:
Preferably, it would be one account unless they are completely different engines. If DabbaFun is a flavor of Dabba, you can always add it in the profile notes when running it. Also, the server will use the UCI identifier so it would help show which engine was which.
In any case, by all means come and run it in Playchess.
Albert
It is the same programs, but a few parameters makes it play very different and with different elo.
I have now installed playchess, got a mail that Engine Dabbaba is created and I have logged in.
But I have no idea how to get Dabbaba running.....

Re: Welcome
I don't run engines, so am not the biggest expert in the matter, but the only way I know of is via the Fritz GUI (need not be the most recent version). Anyone can run an engine as an analytic tool in the free Playchess client, but to actually play, using a book, I believe not.JBNielsen wrote:Thanks.Albert Silver wrote:

Re: Free Playchess accounts for original engine authors
Is this offer, free flowing? Reason I ask is that my own engine hasn't been released, and currently in progress.
While it's not out now, in the future I would love to test on playchess.
Chances are I will never push the dough for an ICC account, due to having to pay a huge fee yearly, and another to have a comp account.
So curious

Right, this is not an offer with a now-or-never deadline.jshriver wrote:Is this offer, free flowing? Reason I ask is that my own engine hasn't been released, and currently in progress.

For an illustrated step by step guide to how to play your engine in the Playchess server go to superchesengine:
http://www.superchessengine.com/
On the left click "help" then scroll down to "Play chess engine vs engine online"

Stockfish account was suddenly and without notice dropped after I commented here on ICGA and their tournament.
I won't re-apply. Thanks.
