Shredder People- Still in Business?!

Post by geots »

I would have to look back and be sure, but I believe it that the correct address is support@shredderchess.com. If it isn't correct, it wouldn't affect this thread- because I had the address in front of me when I sent the mail.

I have a question concerning the Shredder 11 gui, and there is no info in the pdf manual that will help. In the last 7 weeks I have I sent 3 different e-mails to this address trying to get some help. It is becoming obvious that no one seems interested in helping me. Think maybe there was some kind of warranty on "help questions" like there is with Dell? (I bet the next one Dell sells me- they won't tell me before purchase I get no warranty on software questions and help- that is 50 bucks per question!) Anyway- I'm off-track here. I seem to remember Hiarcs tied in with Shredder some way or another. Does the mail get diverted to Hiarcs or someone else? Anyone with any ideas on how I might possibly reach them? Why do I think I would have had a reply to the first mail if I had wanted to buy something? Thanks.

Hey George.

That is indeed the correct address for Shredder customer support. I am surprised they did not get back to you as SMK has always been really good at returning product question emails.

I don't believe Shredder and Hiarcs are related at all.

Lately SMK answers after some days but i wrote him several times and i don't remember a single time in which he didn't answer. I think he's busy lately.

How dares he?? :)

I never had a communication problem with him before or any other chess programmer whose program I have purchased. These guys are pros whose customer service practices the big companies should study and learn.

The website is down too:
http://www.shredderchess.com

It's possible they have some problems at their ISP, if the website is down there's a possibility your email is not getting through either.
