icsdroneng 0.25 released

Post by Michel »

icsdroneng 0.25 is here

http://alpha.uhasselt.be/Research/Algeb ... g-release/

icsdroneng can now optionally proxy the ics it is connected to (for example at localhost:5000).

This is mainly useful at ICC if you only have a computer account and no human account (engine authors normally get a computer account for free but others have to pay extra for it). To observe games played by icsdrone (or to do other stuff) just connect xboard to the proxy, e.g. with

xboard -ics -icshost localhost

This is a bit like xboard with zippy, except of course that icsdrone
remains connected when you quit xboard.

Also included is a patch by Marcel van Kervinck which fixes tournament play at ICC.

The website seems to be down?

Anyone know where this is available?

Yes sorry. The new URL is

Git repositories are here

http://hardy.uhasselt.be/gitweb/

Note that I am no longer maintaining Polyglot so the PG repository is outdated.

How does one use this repository? Is there any on-line brwsing tool for it as on my hgm.nubati.net repository? (I admit I also don't understand how that works, but there seems to be a .cgi file running on the server that presents the repository contents as html.)

Note that I put all source tar balls released by Michel in git in my own repository. There are no binaries there, however. Some time ago I started a new branch there, called 'learn', and now that I made my first serious change to Polyglot there, I renamed the version to 2.0.1 to avoid any confusion. (The previous Polyglot version I relased with WinBoard was from that branch, and called 1.4.66hgm.

In principle there is gitweb access but apparently something just broke in my selinux setup so gitweb does currently not work.

I have to look into that but am busy right now.
