Hi,
On a Playchess 60'+15'' game my Komodo 4 have been defeated by Chiron 1.1a.
Here is the position were Komodo with black was totally lost :
Uploaded with
ImageShack.us
3r1b1k/pp1r1pp1/1np1p2p/N2nP2P/qP1PQ1RN/PR6/3B1PP1/6K1 w - - 0 39
Komodo played 38...Rd8 with evaluation (0.00) !
Chiron played the beautifull 39.Bxh6! with (1.78)
Komodo 4 lost very fast after 39...Nc3 40.Qf3 gxh6 41. Qxc3 Bg7 42. Qf3 Nd5 43. Nc4 Bf8 44. Nd6 Bxd6 45. exd6 Qb5 46.Re3 1-0
Chiron was running on a slow machine, Komodo even single was on my i7 2760QM so no machine reason.
what do you think ?
Best wishes,
Gab

Hi Gab,
If you prepend a [d] to the fen, a diagram will be generated automatically, like this one
[d]3r1b1k/pp1r1pp1/1np1p2p/N2nP2P/qP1PQ1RN/PR6/3B1PP1/6K1 w - - 0 39
And before Black's Rd8:
[d]2r2b1k/pp1r1pp1/1np1p2p/N2nP2P/qP1PQ1RN/PR6/3B1PP1/6K1 b - -

Welcome to our little slice of hell!
Speaking of hell, please be advised that during their first week here, newcomers have to give older posters their lunch money. (You can easily recognize an older poster: he well have over 940 posts).
(feeling awfully fernandish all of a sudden

Since I bought Komodo 4 and played many LTC games I have many other positions I would be glad to share with Don.
Here is another one:
[d]
Komodo just played 31...Bd8 in a 120' game with 0.00 evaluation and 2 minutes of thinking.
Houdini 2.0c Pro played 32.g6! and game is lost for Komodo in few moves...
Critter 1.4a finds 32.g6 a tempo but Stockfish 2.2.2 finds it after a minute on 4 threads.
Best wishes,
Gab

Yes Komodo 4 finds 39.Bxh6 too but doesn't see the game is lost... ply 20 evaluation is still 0.45.

Komodo's pieces are misplaced badly....just take a look at the massive number of white pieces attacking the black king who is left with his pants down against the wind....
A classical example of the concept encouraging the attack while most of the enemies army is snoring at the other side of the board regards
