I recommend setting the server folder in the viewer, and connecting in local mode first for testing.
Sorry to bother you again Matthias (and sorry for being a bit thick), but what are the steps I take to broadcast a ChessGUI tournament in TLCV? In easy language please. :)
I'd like to try a trial now if possible.
1) Install server and viewer (client) of TLCV.
2) Set TLCV in ChessGUI Preferences, and play a game to create TLCV_File.txt in OUTPUT folder.
3) Edit server.ini in TLC Server folder so that PATH=...path\TLCV_File.txt
4) Set folder of server in TLCV client, then set "Local mode" and connect
5) Play games without book, and watch them in client.
6) If going online does not work, ask Olivier

Even better! :)
Will WB engines follow soon in that regard?
Also is it safe for me to broadcast through TLCV using your steps?

Yes and Yes.

Start your online broadcasting with a test UCI tournament.
Does the local (offline) broadcast now work ?

No - I'm not technically competent enough. I'll need to get Olivier's or Ray's help.

Cheers,
Graham.

ChessGUI 0.231 and TLCV

Post by Matthias Gemuh »

ChessGUI now reliably uses GUI book with WB and UCI engines in TLCV mode.

5) Play games and watch them in client.
6) If going online does not work, ask Olivier

Hi Graham

I'll gladly give you a hand :) Just come to the ChessWar broadcast in the evening (European timezone) and we'll sort things out.
