This is probably the reason Arena Epic Failed Just Like Selling the Ruffian Engine did back in the day. Also I remember your name way back in the day (Several Years and even before the days of Ruffian) showing up on posts about trading chess engines illegally so I guess you should be the last person to talk.

Hi,

Each engine/program I have is original from Psion to Winchloe, Gustav, Shredder, Freezer, ChessBase, Rybka and some engines/programs you never heard of and never will.

Now all anonymous from there are joining... how funny

I guess this is really what it all revolves about:

*) When you are an Arena user, you can be "punished" by witholding updates whenever some mentally unstable guy throws a fit on things you have no control over or even don't know about.

*) When you are a WinBoard / XBoard user, any bugs you report are usually fixed the same day, often within the hour. Even when the bug s reported by the most loathsome person in the entire universe.

I know which GUI I would use! I appreciate customer service...

Complaining about the colors of a particular screenshot looks about as intelligent as deciding a Porsche is a bad car because the sales ad pictures it with an open door, which would be too much of a security risk at 180 km/hr. (Or as picking on a Chess engine because it can play with two Kings, for that matter.)

Hi,

You presented the screenshot with that colors. It is more like putting pink or dark green suites in a display window and wondering nobody goes in to buy them because they are "usually" not that way.

I appreciate correct citing...

Yes, I presented the screenshot with that colors, like some car manufacturers print photographs of their cars with the doors open. And only an idiot would think they do that because the door cannot be closed...

The point is that some people like those colors, as colors are merely a matter of taste. (They are actually quite well chosen from an obective point of view: almost any other simple color scheme I tried markedly decreases the visibility of the piecesof at least one side, if you keep those black and white.) I, for instance, intensely dislike the standard white/bluish of the Arena screenshots you posted, (and have now been moderated away). Also obectively they cause poor visibility of the white pieces. But I am not so stupid to make a point of it. At best it could reveal something about your taste, (with no one really cares about), but never anything about the product...

Mr. Diosi:

The world will manage to go on existing without Arena or your website.

I'll have nothing more to do with either, or with you, until you reach adulthood again.

Good day.
