But Harvey said TCAdmin paid no attention to such suggestions but just continued in a Soviet Style. ;)
Ok simple question did sam read the posts asking for more time? I doubt it.
So if he doesn't accede to all suggestions, that's a Soviet Style? I don't see how that is fair comment.
My question was did he read them? As far as I could see he did not log on much during the nomination period and just started the poll late.
But you don't wait for answers, you just insert your preferred answer and pass judgment. After all, you admit you didn't even read the poll. Now you demand TCAdmin read everything. That seems more than a little ironic.
yes he is supposed to be running the election. I am just a simple voter like many who have no idea what is going on. The poll as it stands is open to protests.
He read enough to incorporate one of your suggestions. Yet you assume he has read absolutely nothing but instead operates in a Soviet Style. Your complaint doesn't make sense, IMO.
Yes he just popped up after not logging in for ages and started a poll. Steve was all for a longer nomination period. I guess Sam just wants to get it over with. Yes it is Soviet style - you are a candidate you are biased. Can Sam not speak for himself or are you now his Soviet style proxy?

One way or another it is a tempest in a teapot. The moderation crew listed will clearly be an excellent one. I truly salute them for accepting the nomination under the current cloud of moderator name calling. I refused.

I agree they are brave under the current climate and don't blame you for refusing. I just think it is all rushed. I am not against teams.

I don't assume that all suggestions must be adopted if one is to avoid the label of "Soviet style".

You guess. You think he thinks. He didn't allow more time. Therefore he's a Soviet. Yeah, sure.

BTW, I'm not a candidate. I wasn't even going to be an alternate on any team, but I guess Sam's "Soviet Style" of arm twisting persuaded me to be an alternate at the last moment after he assured me I'd never have to do anything. Apparently they couldn't find anyone at all willing to be the alternate for their team and without an alternate (YOUR IDEA), there would be nobody running for mod in CTF. So I capitulated after this terrible torture of the Soviet Style that had accommodated your suggestion of an alternate. It's basically your freaking fault, man. You are blameworthy. ;)

So you are a candidate but in true Soviet style you deny it? As you are now the official pravda style spokesman for Sam can you explain why a few more days were not made available? why sam did not repond to candidates asking for more time? Why no poll amongst eligeble voters to see if they wanted this system? Why no email to all members? I am sure the email could have been sent to just eligible voters and if not who cares as those not eligible can not vote.

Maybe not Soviet style but Sam wanting an easy life prevented all this. He is not the only one with a day job with no connection to CCC. If he does not have time to do the job I could take over I guess no election would be required? ;-)

This non soviet style poll should be considered http://www.talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35368 but I guess you will have a reason why it should be ignored? Ok so you can say we are having an election, in true Soviet style (sorry can't stop saying that as I see how much it annoys you :) )

But there were lot's of other good suggestions in this thread that Sam should have read and responded to before starting the poll.

actually i just voted in that one and didn't even bother to read the whole poll title
i now realize it included the CTF also
oh well..sigh
the poll question could have been worded better me thinks
i could have been happy about the CCC and not the CTF
no choice to split my vote

Steve not often I would dare to call you a liar but as the poll expired ages ago what you say is clearly untrue. However if you think the election is a joke then so be it.

Nope. It's operational because I just used it and I saw the count change too.

when i said i just voted in that one i didnt mean i just now voted in it
i meant i just voted and did not read it
i was trying to be facetious Harvey and illustrate to you how easy it is to pick anything apart if one puts his mind to it
it was a satire of your entire day of posting here
the truth of the matter is that you are simply trying to cast some sort of shadow on the election for fear that we will win and allow links

i can take being called a liar by you
its not the first time someone called me a liar here and i imagine it wont be the last
i do admit that coming from you.. it surprises me.. but i guess
we all live and learn
