It stands for (M)ystery (D)edicated (C)hess Computer
this is the 4th game played by the CCC Forum
the first and third games also included the participation of dedicated computers

this game started out with the Forum playing a Chess 960 game against Daydreamer and then at move 21 Daydreamer turned the game over to a dedicated chess computer whose idenity will remain a mystery until the game is over

these oldies have faired pretty well in these matches
winning the first game(with the help of pawn and move odds ) and drawing the third(the Ufim engine played the first 10 moves of that game..also a Chess 960)

i also am rooting for the MDC but it looks like an uphill battle from here
