The last match worked good. Maybe Ray could start it with the
FRC and than Nick could run dedicated unit with Steve or
someone else filling in if need be.
Best,
Gerold.
Sounds Reasonable to Me
Nick and i can coordinate which model to use so that when he is gone i can continue with the same Unit
these games generally take about 2 months to complete so there is even a chance that the game will be completed before Nick goes to the Amazon Rain Forest
unlike the last game where i declined to cast votes for moves because i would be operating the computer later.. i think its OK for Nick and i to offer move choices while Ray is operating the Engine
also.. should we switch to the dedicated once Castling is completed or let the PC engine play on a bit further?
last game the Engine only played 10 moves while the dedicated played 30
any thoughts on these questions from the other players?
Steve
PS..Those wishing to start a Gothic chess game are certainly welcome to do so
i dont see why we cant have 2 games running at the same time as long as we keep the threads here in the Matches forum and we keep the threads down to a minimum
players can vote for moves in both games..
this forum is all about computer chess so lets play computer chess!
Regards
Steve
No problem with you and Nick casting a vote.
Maybe 20 moves into game could switch over to your unit.
Be great to have two games going at same time. if someone
would be willing to run Gothic chess game.

Yes, 20 moves if castle rights are gone.
Matthias.
If castling rights haven't gone, you want to stay with Daydreamer for more than 20 moves?
that would be a must Graham
none of the dedicated would be able to deal with a position using the FRC castling rules
they would simply not know that castling was still permitted and how to castle given the FRC rules
chances are fairly unlikely though that both sides wont have castled(or lost the right to castle) by move 20
