hello
How long does it take to fritz 11 to find the move 1.c5 ? On my computer it didn't find it in 5 minutes. I ask me if there is not a problem on my computer with fritz 11 because fritz 9 and 10 find it quite easily (I don't remember the exact time)

Re: A position with Fritz 11
Fritz 11 is indeed very different from Fritz 10. Compare their performance in the following position as well.

Re: A position with Fritz 11
Thank you but at the moment nobody answered my question.
I found again the time of fritz 9 et 10 it was less than 1 second.

Re: A position with Fritz 11
This problem may be a problem for part of the materialistic programs that use null move pruning because black is in zugzwang after some moves and if black can avoid moving white cannot win.mercury wrote:hello

Fritz5.32 also has no idea here but many programs solve it with no problem.

Does fritz 11 find 1...Bxe4 on your computer?

Re: A position with Fritz 11
my fritz 11 also did not find the move within 1 minutes on a fast hardware. no engine is perfect. nevertheless fritz 11 is very very strong.

Fritz8 has no problems and I think that the move is easy for every serious program(all the programs that I tried except Fritz5.32 and Fritz6 Light could find it easily).

Re: A position with Fritz 11
I like some LCT2 positions. When I tested Rybka 1.2 in this
position I was surprised that she didn´t found the best move.
I think that Rybka 1.2 only found Bxe4 if you click in multiple variations.
