Any anti-clone idea? What if make an anti-clone software?

It's boring to discuss on the issue of clone or non-clone, just considering the original engine as a kind of virus, it shall have the virus signature. And if the other engine has the same signature,it can be scaned. And everything is clear.

PS: It will be easy to email the original engine files(Rybka, crafty, fruit...)to one anti-virus company like kapskey,norton... and let them to find the signature and add it to their virus library.

Programing chess is an art work. Try to implement your idea to science articles or popular literature first.

I can guarantee you that anti-virus companies are not going to waste their time detecting illegal chess engines, unless it really is a virus or some other type of malware.

The computer chess community is more than capable of identifying clones on its own.[/quote]

For the two pathetic examples from _you_, no big efforts are needed to see they were simple clones.
