Can anyone provide some information on Hans Berliner's SNAC (Smoothness, Non linearity, and Application
Coefficients) function? I have found references to an article named "On the Construction of Evaluation Functions
for Large Domains" on the web, but not the article itself. It sounds interresting and I would like to learn a bit
more about it.
Thanks
A SNAC, anyone?

Excuse the mechanical engineer here regards.
Re: A SNAC, anyone?
This sounds like the paper he wrote about his Backgammon program about 30 years ago. I think I read it in New Scientist. Maybe you can find an electronic back issue?
Sorry I can't be more help.
