here is another one of those amusing positions. I've set it up so as to fool rybka (maximizing piece activity, whilst destroying the pawn structure)..
black to move. Which side do you want to play?

Well, according to both rybka and strelka, it is equal, so you should not prefer a side.
****Analysis by Rybka 1.0 Beta 32-bit: d16 .02
****Analysis by strelka 1.8;l d 18 =-.11
the analysis is not exactly the same? but no other engine is fooled into thinking this is equal
spike: -1.65 depth 16
shrededer : d16; -1.70
Toga 1.3x4 d16 , -.81 (well maybe toga is almost fooled)
naum 2.0 d16; -2.04
Glaurung 1.2.1 smp ; d16 -.76
fritz9 d16; -1.76
so even if strelka is not a clone, it produces such similar analysis as rybka that maybe it is not that interesting (yet, until it is improved). Why would someone want what is essentially an inferior version of rybka beta 1.0.
