Message from Sam hull on CTF concerning all new posts made today or yesterday for people making a valiant effort to keep track of what they are reading, posting and saving when, where and why:

There are two completely different messages collections at

A) www.talkchess.com which is http://64.68.157.89/forum/

and

B) http://216.25.93.108/forum/viewforum.php?f=3

Please check out the two for you.

The best proof is that in both you'll find a thread from Enrique about 'Identity' but it has two different volumes. Tell me if you can add comments in both. Thanks.

Hope this helps to work on the split.
Hi Rolf,

The old data currently showing here (posts since Wednesday missing) is coming from the new server, and work is in progress to update and stabilize it. The old server is still up and readable at the 216.25 address but probably not for long.

I think the old server's data (i.e., everything posted since last Wednesday) is going to be copied here today; that will bring this new server up to date, but will wipe out the last couple of days' posts here, so if there is anything new here that someone wants to keep they might want to make a copy of it now so they can post it again after the data here is replaced with a more current copy from the old server.

It is all crystal clear to me now, and I'm moving over to the sock-knitting forum.

P.S.

I really don't mean to critcise the effort put into the move of the forum and I've been asking Quentin this often enough but I'll also sure be glad if everything stabilizes a bit!
