GopherCheck 0.1.0 released

Post by stephenjlovell » Mon Jun 06, 2016 12:10 am

Hello everyone,

The first official version of my UCI engine GopherCheck (v.0.1.0) is now available on GitHub:

https://github.com/stephenjlovell/gopher_check

I've been been programming for a while now, but am actually quite new to chess and never played competitively. It's been an amazing learning experience so far.

The engine is written in Go. It can be compiled on Windows, but I've been seeing substantially better performance on OS X and Linux with comparable amd64 hardware (1.725m nps on OS X vs. 0.367m nps on Windows 10)...

I don't have an ELO rating for the engine yet, and would appreciate any help or advice the community can offer on that score :).
