You can't compare today programs with ZX-Chess, because modern CPUs have more registers and instructions than the 8 bit Zilog Z80. Still, despite from comparison, it's an excellent work, if it is as said.

The price for that, however, is that instructions also have to be longer, to address those registers. So I am not sure the comparison is that unfair.
