Plisk 0.2.1

Post by vladstamate » Mon Apr 05, 2010 4:24 am

Hi all,

It has been a long time since I released my last Plisk engine, 012, almost 7 months.

Well seven months later, lots of coding hours and jumping a number of version Plisk 0.2.1 is available for download at http://sites.google.com/site/pliskchess/.

I pretty much rewrote the search and evaluation and at the same time got rid of a lot of bugs (like for example the pondering all the time, that tends to upset people who run tournaments and test - and for a good reason).

I will upload MacOSX and Linux binaries very soon.

I have been actively working on it and I will continue working but I wanted to release something :)

Regards and enjoy,
Vlad.

Hi Vlad,

if you still have the source code of older versions of your engine, I suggest that you fix the "pondering" and release them too.
I guess you need only insert "Sleep(1);" into endless loops in the Windows versions.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.
