The new group of engines

Post by Dayffd »

I think I am going to have to run a tournament featuring these newer engines only, e.g., Spark, Bright, Onno, Stockfish (that one, not even 1.4.1, hasn't been in its first tournament yet!), Doch (same thing), Twisted Logic, and so on. Just curious, would anyone care to venture a estimate as to the standings of these newer engines in a 2RR tournament where the time control is 30 minutes per game each?

Based on this list...

...the Stockfish, Doch, Onno, Spark, Bright order seems clear-cut.
Agreed. mp versions of Spark might possibly claim the second place.
