Myrddin v0.81 Alpha 2 release

Post by JVMerlino » Fri May 29, 2009 12:15 am

Greetings,

After a fair amount of inspiration thanks to Olivier Deville's ChessWar tournament, Myrddin Alpha 2 is now ready for public release.

The engine still probably plays only 1600-1700 against other engines, at best. It's performance in the tournament was 6.5/11, with a 1655 performance rating.

You can download the latest version, plus find out all about it and even read a short tournament "journal", by going to:

Many thanks again to Ron Murawski for hosting the site, and to several other brilliant people for guidance and inspiration.

Funny! I hadn't noticed that.

Actually, in earlier versions of CM, Slick was rated much higher (low-end GM). But the Producer for CM9000 said that there needed to be more mid-range personalities and "volunteered" all of the team members' avatars for readjustment. :)

Thanks for the post and the new chess program John.
Very interesting engine.
I have play a few games with it and it would be a very good
training engine for players with rating around 1700.

Best to you,

Gerold.

ah.. didn't realize that...

I have CM_7... I'll see if I can find the cd(s) and see how your personality plays...

Your personality is one of the better ones to play against...
