Theo van der Storm is dead

Post by Rolf » Wed Jan 14, 2009 1:00 am

He died on Tuesday. He got 49 years old only. Leiden has lost its brain for the many computerchess tournaments. May he rest in peace. Rolf

My condolences to his friends and family. That is something of a shock. Theo was only two years older than me. We did not hear much about him and he was not at the last CSVN tournament I think, but I had no idea that things were going so fast for the worse. May he rest in peace and play many a game of chess, "EinStein würfelt nicht" or whatever game he wants with whoever runs the place up there. They will probably charter him for organizing annual tournaments. He will be missed at the CSVN!

Het ga je goed Theo!

Sad. Scary  When I hear of relatively young people dying......words fail.

Born in 1960, probably not yet 49 years, how sad. At my age, 61,
late 40's is a spring chicken.

For those of you that read Dutch here is the email I received:
Beste mensen,

Theo is vanochtend vroeg overleden.
