Norman, the trouble is not the archive itself but the site, http://users.telenet.be/chesslogik/. Firefox, for example, seems to block all downloads from it.

Norman, is Fire 7.1 the slower version of 7.0 with some fixes that you had posted earlier? Does it have any improvements in playing strength over 7.0?

I have a serious problem with Fire 7.1 under Windows 10 and with Arena 3.5.1:

Over and over, the engines just STOPS computing. I have to re-kick every game into gear, sometimes 5 times for one game.

Arena (F4) doesn't show any error either. Fire just stops dead in its tracks.

Any ideas?

Apologies for jumping in here. These issues might be solved in the next release of Fire.

Norman – how close are we to the release of Fire 8?
