In late 2015 I started working on my engine again after a ten year long break. Now it has finally reached a state where I feel good about releasing it. Based on 1200 games at 40/4 version 2.0.0 is about 450 Elo stronger than the last version which was 1.3.0. That should put it around 2400 Elo.
Highlights
UCI and XBoard support
Pondering support
Polyglot opening book support
Magic bitboards
Late Move Reductions (LMR)
Futility pruning
Razoring
SEE based move ordering
Automated tuning of evaluation parameters using Texel method

How cool is that? It's always nice to see a new version of an old engine. Thank you, Martin.

That is wonderful news and another proof how powerful the computerchess virus really is...
Of course I still remember Marvin as a long time companion in several of my RWBC 'Open Classes', before I called it a day.

Re: Marvin 2.0.0 released
Thank you Martin.
Nice package, including book and various .exe compiled (32/64bits, popcnt/no).
Thus I also managed to get the 1.3.0 version as well, looking forward to discover both. I agree it is great to use engines with some history, background versions...
