We hope JL will be prepared to throw some opening preparations :).
Perhaps 1 or 2 cores would be enough.

I'm not even sure opening preparations still valid now, we are 875 Elo over what was the top level 6 months ago (Imortal 2.0 : 2625 to Stockfish-20161209-6 cores : 3500 Elo)

I prefer to use 6 cores but play faster : I plan to set the time control to 3min+8sec for SF under Winboard.
Faster games are more entertaining for the spectators.

Note that 875 Elo in Chess engine development represent 13 years, the time between HIARCS 9 (2003) to Stockfish 8 (2016).

The match is delayed by 24 hours because of the "Yearly Crazyhouse Arena".
New schedule : The match will be played on Lichess, this Sunday 18th Dec 6pm GMT.

Where do you find these numbers?

Looked for rating lise of engines in crazyhouse in google and found the following:

https://sites.google.com/site/zhassocia ... list/rapid

Immortal is clearly better than 2625 when stockfish is clearly worse than 3500.

I used this list : https://sites.google.com/site/zhassocia ... list/blitz
Imortal 2.0 32bit : 2625
Stockfish zh 09Dec2016 64bit : 3221

Stockfish zh 09Dec2016 64bit on 6 cores is around 3500
