We hope JL will be prepared to throw some opening preparations .Vinvin wrote:JannLee lost a match but the fight continues !

Perhaps 1 or 2 cores would be enough.

I'm not even sure opening preparations still valid now, we are 875 Elo over what was the top level 6 months ago (Imortal 2.0 : 2625 to Stockfish-20161209-6 cores : 3500 Elo)Ferdy wrote:We hope JL will be prepared to throw some opening preparations .Vinvin wrote:JannLee lost a match but the fight continues !

I prefer to use 6 cores but play faster : I plan to set the time control to 3min+8sec for SF under Winboard.Ferdy wrote:Perhaps 1 or 2 cores would be enough.
Faster games are more entertaining for the spectators.

Note that 875 Elo in Chess engine development represent 13 years, the time between HIARCS 9 (2003) to Stockfish 8 (2016).Vinvin wrote:I'm not even sure opening preparations still valid now, we are 875 Elo over what was the top level 6 months ago (Imortal 2.0 : 2625 to Stockfish-20161209-6 cores : 3500 Elo)

New schedule : The match will be played on Lichess, this Sunday 18th Dec 6pm GMT.

Looked for rating lise of engines in crazyhouse in google and found the following:
https://sites.google.com/site/zhassocia ... list/rapid
Immortal is clearly better than 2625 when stockfish is clearly worse than 3500.
