Nice game fern. :)

You held out pretty well, and I don't think Wasp's play was at all computer-like.

It was like a human International Master simply overpowered you.

I think I will play some training games with Wasp soon. Him and Prodeo 2.0. 8-)

Yes, more or less like that, being overpowered by an IM. An expert player has no chance, exception made of one time in his life, against a IM.
When I play 1900 or less comps I feel the difference. Then I play at easy and I use to be the winner, though not all the time.
For that reason against far superior players I put that limit to me, to resist until at least move 40. If I get that, i am satisfied.

Consolation tricks regards

I hope you do NOT evaluate my chess on the ground of the game I sent here. It was played more or less at half machine, doing three other things at the same time. Not that I am a lot better, but definitely better than that....

Here's my poor effort against Wasp.

21.g5 is a serious mistake, but I'd only superficially assessed the position and missed his beautiful knight manoeuvre Nd8-e6!

After that I decided to sacrifice the exchange and Wasp converted like a champ with 26...Qf4 being a nice, human-like "let's swap into a winning ending" move.

Really nice engine to play against.
