Hello There,

I am pleased to announce,
Very soon I plan to organize a History (from the past to the present) knockout tournament !
The planning competition will be based on more than 100 chess engine participants !!

For examples,
I am considering to include Android, DOS, also Windows chess engines too
And here are some of them:
Chess Genius 7 (Windows)
Chess Free (Android)
Chess Master (Android)
Chess PRO (Android)
Chess System Tal (Windows)
Chess Titans (Windows)
GrandMaster Chess (Android)
K-Chess Elite 4 (Windows)
M Chess 8 Pro (DOS)
NOVAG Star Diamond (Dedicated chess computer)
Play Magnus (Android)
Virtual Chess II (Windows)
Wilhelm 1.50 (Windows)
And plus many other chess engines too (e.g Komodo, Stockfish, Houdini etc...)

More Details,
The engines will be played as one core + ponder on
The time control is planning to be 10 minutes (per side)

Let's see who will be the SCCT's History Champion )!

More info coming soon...

Have fun,
Sedat

Sedat,

How will you be able to include the older program and stand alone machine? Will you have to manually enter the moves? It sounds like a lot of work!

I'm happy to see Chess Genius 7, Chess System Tal (version II ?), M Chess 8 Pro and Virtual Chess II playing !!
Btw which processor will you use for dos/windows ? And which processor for android ?
May be you can add the big 3 "Komodo, Stockfish, Houdini" with only 1 min per game (and ponder=off).

Thanks !

Dear Mark,

I installed virtual operating systems (DOS, XP...) and some of the matches will be played manually (by Me),
Some in Auto232 mode, the Android engines will played on my Samsung Galaxy S4 etc...

That's true...
I need really many free time and efforts to organize it...
The current tournament is one of the most difficult ones!
But difficulties are always way for success...
So we must overcome all difficulties and to bring the success!
My best wishes for less difficulties and to reach the great goal!

Not at all and thanks for your interest...

Yes...I feel a big pleasure of organizing this exiting event !
There will be matches that never played before each other...
That's why the current tournament is very special and unique one, different than all!

About your rest questions,
Chess System Tal is the version 2.5

Note that,
Fritz 12 GUI will be used as main chess GUI (due to it serves knockout system)

As main opening book (for Windows engines),
Perfect 2015s book will be used (up to 8 moves)

As main tournament computer,
The Windows/DOS engines will be played on my i5-3210M 2.50GHz machine
Android engines will be played on my Samsung Galaxy S4

For example,
I did not want to use i7 980X/i7 970 machines, due to there will be more speed difference between Samsung Galaxy S4...

Btw, the tournament is already started and soon I will publish the first results

Have fun,
Sedat
