WB2UCI for Java executable chess engines too?

Post by Norbert Raimund Leisner »

Hello,

would it be possible to create WB2UCI-converter not only for .exe-files, but for jar-files too?

examples : http://americanfoot.free.fr/echecs/suisse/fichiers.htm (wbconf.zip)

Best wishes,
Norbert

Yes,of course !

My Java WB Superior League 2014 was on Fritzy GUI.

All engines (minus Cupcake 1.1b - a Mr.Jim Ablett Windows .exe) were .jar executables plus Wb2Uci.exe +Wb2Uci.eng files. For OliThink 5.3.2J I used a state of art adapter !

Cheers,

I am surprised you still think running Java engines is any different from running any other executable. Java is just an executable (using .jar files for data).
