6-men Gaviota (Question to Miguel)

Post by beachknight »

Hello Miguel,

Could I produce 6-men Gaviotas on my quad?
If yes, could you make few pointers (regarding
how to produce them and which engines support them?

TIA,
hi, merhaba, hallo HT

From my understanding the Gaviota egtb doesn't do 6-men yet. But its a nice rgtb for 345 and a clean license.

Thanks Josh.

I am not able to download latest Gaviota from google pages.
I could not check whether creating 6-men is/was possible.
Lets wait a magical move from Miguel! :)

Best,
I check Miguel's site somewhat regularly, as Myrddin supports Gaviota TBs. As (thankfully) Miguel made great progress recently with Gaviota itself, I haven't seen any updates to the tb generation or probing code in quite some time. According to the site, there are no updates in almost three years. So my understanding is the same as Joshua's -- no support for 6 men yet.

Correct, it does not support 6 men yet. It is not trivial addition, but I always wanted to do it. Last semester was not a good time for me to spent a lot of time coding. My plan is to start working on it after I release the next version of the gaviota engine. I thought I could do it at the end of 2013, but it will have to be the end of january (maybe after TCEC starts).

Thanks John. It seems that being a mod here has some disadvantages.
