A couple of new historic video's

Post by Rebel »

I got some old video material from a CSVN member. It includes the WMCC Amsterdam 1985, German TV coverage of the WCCC Cologne 1986 (no sign of the winner  ) and AEGON 1997 including the broadcast of the Vishy Anand and Jan Timman simultan.

If someone is willing to put them on Youtube I can add the links.

Oh yeah, there is a new ProDeo also.

Happy downloading

Thanks Ed :-)

It is always great to have more recordings of CC history, and the concept behind the newest ProDeo looks interesting.

Do not forget to include the "Fern Function". Just every two moves the engine play a losing one.
It would be appreciated.

Mail (or upload) your games in PGN instead and I will make a personal database of it so you instantly will be remembered on every position you have played. But maybe that's too traumatic?

cool. i have seen myself on the aegon97 video :-)))

cool is the advanced star chess from CXG on the cologne championship.
Kaare Danielsen in the interview telling about his brute force program :-))

in the user tournament, there is a guy interviewed from a chess club, behind him there is IMO a guy from mephisto. whats his name ?

and when berliner is interviewed, we see Thomas Nitsche , or ?? sitting there (~25')

at 28' you can see siggi schütte (ex chess development manager saitek) behind fölsing :-)))

There they are!

The three new ones:

- WCCC - Cologne (1986)
- Aegon 1997
- Eric Hallsworth about chess computers

And the already published two Paderborn 1999 videos :

- WMCC - Paderborn (part-1)
- WMCC - Paderborn (part-2)
