Download of Tornado 4.88

Post by Engin »

Hello,
after a long time i deleted my old website of Tornado, there was no way to download my chessengine anymore for yours, now i had uploaded my engine under my new website where i am using this for my work. This website is only in german language and not in english, so it is available under this link = http://www.websoft-engin.de/index.php/d ... tware.html

Maybe in future if i have time to work on it i will update it too.

But my work and the family is my first priority !

best wishes,
Engin

All sounds good Engin.
Tornado is an engine for you to be proud of and I hope that at some stage you get the motivation to continue developing it.
However, you're right in that family and work should take priority.

Tornado is being tested intensively in a big tournament and I am deeply impressed by it's playing style 8-)

Thanks and take care....

Actually its stockfish and ippolit family deriative. I'm added some functions and changed evaluation calculate. Now it's stronger than IvanHoe and Sting.

Engin wrote:Hello,
after a long time i deleted my old website of Tornado, there was no way to download my chessengine anymore for yours, now i had uploaded my engine under my new website where i am using this for my work. This website is only in german language and not in english, so it is available under this link = http://www.websoft-engin.de/index.php/d ... tware.html

Maybe in future if i have time to work on it i will update it too.

But my work and the family is my first priority !

best wishes,
Engin

Engin- the obvious question. I have installed already your version 4.88 x64 SSE42- and ran it in my Mega-Freeware this past fall. I see on the site where I just downloaded the version that you speak of here that it says it is "New". Is this in fact the same exact version I am running now, or does it have any updates that would mean testing might show a strength increase? I would not have thought much about it- except I saw New! in the description.

Please "un-confuse" me here.

Best,

george

What I understood is that this is the same version as before, only re uploaded to make it available to us after he took down his previous website.

It is exactly the same version as before, only 'new' on his new website.

Btw Engin, thanks a lot for your efforts on Tornado, perhaps some time in the future we will see you back :)
