Spike 1.4 MP Q6600 is a new entrant on this SSDF Rating List. After
1108 tournament games it has a rating of 3109. Spike 1.4 is a 32-bit
chess program supporting up to 12 cores, written by Volker Böhm and
Ralf Schäfer. We have earlier tested Spike 1.2 on slower hardware. The
total rating difference is 289 points, and I guess that at least half
of it is due to program improvements!

After 100 manually played games Pocket Fritz 4 Naum 4.2 has received
a rating of 2800.This is Alexander Naumovs adaption of his Naum 4.2
chess program for the Pocket Fritz 4-GUI. The hardware used is an
HP Ipaq 214 which features a Marvell PXA310-processor at 624 MHz.
64 MB was reserved for hash tables.

At the moment we are testing the newest addition to Ruud Martin's
Revelation chess board – Mark Uniacke's Hiarcs 13.3, and it will appear
in the next list. We are also testing Richard Lang's version of Chess
Genius adapted for the Apple iPhone 4. Soon we will also begin to
test Deep Fritz 13 Q6600 and Fritz 13 on A1200.

Brilliant! Might I suggest you test more of the mobile options under iOS and Android? For Android-Android matches, you can use Aart Bik's interface designed specifically for that purpose. Right now, it is the least covered ratings group of them all (except done by SSDF) as everyone does desktop engine testing. The rage now is of course tablets and smartphones with dual and quad-core chips.

BTW, the new Nexus 7 by Google is a quad and will be available for $199 in a couple of weeks or so. These machines can all be overclocked comfortably so it could then be comparable to others with different clock speeds.
