Additional CEGT-Blitz-Update with 9271 more games

Post by ThatsIt »

Hi to all !

We've made an internal poll among the members of the CEGT again
with the result that, from now on, the engine Houdini will be included
in our lists.
Therefore i've made an additional update of the blitz-list today,
details:

Code: Select all

new games = 9271
total     = 768437

Year Games
2011 31283
2010 169338
2009 161012
2008 159788
2007 86011
2006 111502
2005 47607
2004 1020
2003 395
2002 315
2001 166

number of engines = 1009 (!)

A great decision....the monopoly of Rybka and it's author must end....

I really appreciate that as now my results can be compared and verified! (As far as this is possible with two different concepts!)

Now I am waiting for the 40/20 results :-)

Bye
Ingo

PS: I changed the title to something more clear. Sorry for that ;-)

thanks for the update

I see the following list:

1 Houdini 1.03a x64 4CPU 3268 12 12 2400 77.1% 3058 31.5%
2 Rybka 4.0 x64 4CPU 3262 10 10 3200 76.5% 3057 33.0%
3 Houdini 1.5 x64 1CPU 3254 13 13 2300 77.1% 3043 26.5%

Unfortunately there are no game between number 2 and number 3 and there are not enough games to know if Rybka4 4 cpu is better than Houdini1.5 1 cpu.

I think that it can be better if you care also to play 4 cpu against 1 cpu otherwise there may be too little connection between the 4 cpu rating and the 1 cpu(if programs from set A play almost only against programs from the same set and the same is correct for set B then the small number of games that programs from set A play against programs from set B can cause misleading results).

Hi Uri !

Please note, that we have to tests much, very much
constellations like that you've shown.
But, time will tell if we are able to do this in future.

Best wishes and THX,
