I'm not a programmer, and I've only been using the UCI engines for a couple of months, so I don't understand all the parameters.

I let Chest have a go with this problem at the default settings (except setting Hash=128) and waited 10 minutes, without a solution or any analysis. The only way I can get it to work is to set MaxMoves=1, after which it finds the solution in a tenth of a second. However, setting MaxMoves=1 assumes that I know that Black only has one move every turn with the main line. Since 10+ minutes isn't what I consider "fast", that means that I'm probably doing something wrong with this engine.

Is there a post somewhere that explains how to use Chest efficiently, or can somebody explain what I need to do to get it to solve the long mates?
