TCEC TOURNAMENT 3

http://www.tcec-chess.org/live.php

STARTS IN 15 MINUTES!

This is not confirmed yet:
For chat please visit http://chessbomb.com/
Note: Don't pay too much attention to their built-in computer analysis since it's running multi pv which slows it down considerably.
Misc:
Tournament length: 30 games (double round-robin)
Openings: PGN can be viewed from the live page. They are random per pair.
See the info page for more details.
For news and updates check the News page regularly.

Critter 0.80 64-bit 4CPU
Houdini 1.03a 64-bit 4CPU
Hiarcs 13.1 32-bit 4CPU
Hannibal 1.0a 64-bit 1CPU
Crafty 23.3 64-bit 4CPU
Stockfish 1.8 64-bit 4CPU

Time Control:
120 Minutes for the first 40 moves - 60 minutes for the next 20 moves then
15 minutes for the rest + 30 seconds added per move from move 61

Graphical User Interface:
Type: ChessGUI 0.200
Resign: +/- 5.50 eval for 3 moves in a row (both engines)
Draw: After move 40 an eval of +0.05/-0.05 for 4 moves in a row (both engines) - if there is a pawn advance, or a capture by any kind, this draw counter will reset.
Ponder: Off
Hash: 2048 MB / 1024 MB
Nalimov tablebases: "3 4 5 Men"
Gaviota tablebases: "3 4 5 Men"

Notes:
Matthias Gemuh, author of ChessGUI hasn't found the crash bug yet - but after
testing the latest version with some 600 blitz and bullet games while pushing
the live pgn system to the limits (1 second auto ftp upload) there has not been
a single crash so I take my chances and start this main TCEC event now.

As I am a big fan of Hannibal it will now make its debute in TCEC - keep
in mind that this engine is not SMP capable and thus runs with 1 core only.

Also, I am glad I am able to include Winboard engines without problems with this TC. Thanks to Matthias and Mr. Hyatt for confirming.

As for ChessBomb, I hope they will relay this tournament so that we can chat using their excellent website. This is not confirmed yet, however.

Hello Herbert,

Are you sure about this?

Because I have tested with Opera, Chrome and IE 8 and they
all display all information (like depth, eval, clocks etc. etc.).

There was a small period of 2-3 minutes when I changed a script
and thus this information was not available during that time, but
that was just as said for 2-3 minutes.

Anyone else having problems viewing this info?

Best Regards,
Martin

Hello Martin,

Hmm, i using Firefox, in the 1st game (Critter-Hannibal) displayed all information.
Later on 2nd game show's no infofmation. It was much longer than 2-3 min.

Today i delete incidental Firefox InternetCache - and it works now. :)

Thanks for the continuation of the Tournaments.

Thanks Andres, your support is really appreciated!

The chat will be possible later today or tomorrow on chessbomb.com, I just got
an email confirming that they will continue to relay my matches and tournaments.

edit: I could try to add a chat on my site as well, but I am afraid it will be too hard and clutter up the page.

Best Regards,
Martin

Hold the mouse pointer on the square D8 and click it, all games of the current tournament will be shown.

You can click on most of the squares for different functions to happen, see the tooltip that pops up for a description.
